Biography
José Carlos RodrÃguez is an economics professor and journalist based in Madrid. He has a long career in journalism, where he has excelled as an analyst in national and international economics and politics. He has experience in print, radio, television, and new media formats. He has directed the Juan de Mariana Institute Think Tank and the Numa Foundation.
He holds a Master's Degree in Economics from Rey Juan Carlos University and has teaching experience at three universities.
At ºÚÁÏÍø, he teaches Monetary Theory and Comparative Banking, in which he provides a historical overview of the financial system, along with a current explanation of how monetary policy functions.
In Resources and the Environment, he offers the latest perspectives on the relationship between humans, the economy, and the environment.
He has also taught International Business Policy and Media Communication Strategy. For the latter, he utilized up-to-date literature. In 2026, he will begin teaching Macroeconomics.
